SSC Napoli have ended the 2021/2022 Serie A season on A after an emphatic 3-0 victory at Spezia.

Nigeria's Victor Osimhen was just a second-half substitute in the comprehensive win which cemented the third position for the club.

Osimhen played the final 22 minutes with his club comfortably in control of proceedings against Spezia with a 3-0 lead.

Napoli's scorers were Matteo Politano, who latched on to a pass from Senegal's defender Kalidou Koulibaly to put the side from Naples ahead as early as the fourth minute.

Piotr Zielinski doubled their advantage five minutes from the half-hour mark before Diego Demme wrapped up the win with the third goal nine minutes from the break.

The 23-year-old failed to find the back of the net against Spezia in what was his final game of the season in the Serie A.

However, his 14 goals in 27 appearances mean he finishes as the club's top scorer this season in the Serie A, three goals more than Dries Mertens, who netted 11 goals.

Also, after playing in the Europa League in his first two years at the club, Osimhen and Napoli will feature in the Champions League next season after taking the third spot in the league.

Napoli are in the third position, nine points ahead of Juventus.
