Our players are rusty - Daniel Amokachi

Nigeria scheduled to play Cote D'Ivoire and Sudan in January Abu Dhabi tour

Stand-in coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi has expressed fears that the Super Eagles team B currently preparing for a tour of Abu Dhabi against AFCON 2015 finalist, Cote D'Ivoire and Sudan, may face a huge challenge against their opponents.

Speaking to reporters, the ex-international who insisted that Stephen Keshi remains in charge of the team said of the players who are currently in Abuja camping: "Well yeah! What we are working on right now is to get the players back to full match fitness.

"You know the Nigeria league has been off season and most of the players have been on holiday and are now rusty.

"That is why you have seen that we have been working hard on their fitness. As you know we have only seven days to train for the games which are top class."

The team currently boasts of Nigeria Professional Football League 2013/2014 highest goal scorer Mfon Udoh; departing Dolphins striker, Emem Eduok and Gbolahan Salami of Warri Wolves in camp.
