The Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw by the Bafana Bafana of South in an international friendly played at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

After their to the Cranes of Uganda, the Super Eagles started on the backfoot, defending deep and waiting to catch their host on the break.

Nigeria had the first chance at goal in the 2nd minute with a freekick but Aaron Samuel shot straight at the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Itmalangho Khune.

Ahmed Musa gave Nigeria the lead against the run of play with just minutes left on the clock.

The speedy winger received a pass from Odion Ighalo which he controls calmly before curling his effort into the far right.

There was time however for the South Africans to score a late equaliser, as Bongani Zungu capitalised on the sloppy defending to sweeping home a rebound.

Nigeria however continues their unbeaten run against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
