Nigeria move up one place in FIFA Ranking, now 5th in Africa
In Africa the Super Eagles of Nigeria also move up, this time two places from seventh to fifth.
The Super Eagles played just one game after the previous ranking, a 1-1 draw with Senega on Thursday, March 23 at the Hive (home of Barnet FC) in London.
The draw against Senegal who was above them in the previous ranking seems to have gained some points for Nigeria, taking them to 40th in world football from 41st.
In Africa, they also move up, this time two places from seventh to fifth.
Egypt (19th) continue to be the number one country in African football followed by Senegal (30th) reigning African champions, Cameroon (33rd) Burkina Faso (35th) Nigeria (40th).
Congo DR (41st), Tunisia (42nd) Ghana (45th) Côte d'Ivoire (48th) and Morocco (53rd) make up Africa’s top 10.
In world football, Brazil are now the number one country followed by Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia.
France, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain make up the top 10.
