The Super Eagles home based team has resumed training ahead of next month's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania.

Coach Sunday Oliseh invited 23 home –based professionals headed by Warri Wolves’ forward Gbolahan Salami, who opened scoring in the Super Eagles 2017 AFCON qualifying game against Chad in Kaduna.

The players on Monday, August 17 reported to the Bolton White Apartments in Abuja.

The Super Eagles will play Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on Saturday September 5 in one of the Matchday two games of the qualification series for Gabon 2017.

Nigeria is currently second but have the same points -three- with Group G leaders, Egypt who are on top with a larger goal difference.

Oliseh had few surprises in his list on invited Super Eagles players, leaving out England based John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, Brown Ideye and Odion Ighalo.

Ahead of the game in Tanzania next month, The Nigeria Football Federation have concluded agreement with a leading Nigeria airline to fly the team into Dar es Salaam and back to Nigeria.

The Super Eagles with depart from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the return to Port Harcourt International Airport.

"NFF officials confirmed on Wednesday that the chartered aircraft will convey the delegation into Dar es Salaam on the eve of the match, as Tanzania is a high altitude zone," a report on NFF offcial website states.

"The delegation will depart Dar es Salaam immediately after the match, and fly into Port Harcourt, where the Super Eagles have an international friendly against the Mena of Niger on Tuesday, September 8.

Arrangements for the hotel where the Super Eagles will stay in Dar es Salaam have also been finalized, according to NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi.
