SUPER 6: FC Robo slap over N415m price tag on red-hot Monday Gift after brace v Edo Queens
On-loan Robo Queens star Monday Gift is averaging two goals per match at the NWFL Super XI in Edo State.
The Super Falcons forward was the heroine again for title contenders, Bayelsa Queens, after inspiring them to another win by scoring a brace.
Just a few days after her mentor Asisat Oshoala inspired her to score a hat-trick, Gift was back at it again, leading Bayelsa to a hard-fought 2-1 over the home team, Edo Queens.
Following the goals against Edo Queens, her parent club, Fc Robo, obviously enjoying her superb form, have called for a bidding war for their star forward.
Reacting via their official social media account, Robo have slapped $1m as a transfer fee on their in-form striker.
"Bayelsa [Queens], we know you love [Gift] Monday," Robo posted on their Twitter account.
"Let the bidding process start from One million dollars," the post added.
Gift continues to impress her mentor Oshoala
Just a few days after Asisat Oshoala challenged her and she won the challenge by scoring a hat-trick, Gift has once again proven that she indeed has the 'DNA' of her mentor.
On Thursday, the Bayelsa Queens forward, who is on loan from Robo Queens, added to her hat-trick against Naija Ratels on Monday with an excellent brace against Edo Queens to lead Bayelsa to a third consecutive win.
Reacting to Gift's brace against Edo Queens, both Super Falcons teammates took to their social media accounts to continue with their lovely bromance.
"I will not say anything, this girl is on fire. My child too (dey) worry," Oshoala posted on her official Twitter page.
In a swift reaction, Gift took to her account to reply to her mentor;
"It's in the blood 😜🤗🤗," she stated.
The goals mean she has now scored a total of five goals in her last two matches, taking her tally to six goals in just three matches, an average of two goals per game at the NWFL Super 6.
Gift is now the top scorer of the NWFL this season with nine goals in eight matches, just a goal ahead of Dooshima Tarnim of Nasarawa Amazons.
How many goals will Monday Gift score in the NWFL Super XI?
