Sunday Oliseh will be returning to Nigeria ahead of the crucial 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Tanzania
Coach of the Super Eagles Sunday Oliseh will be returning to the country next week to begin preparations for his first debut game.
The Super Eagles will be traveling to Tanzania for their second 2017 African Cup of Nations tie which will hold on Saturday, September 5 at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
Oliseh is currently in the UK where he watched the Charity Shield game between Arsenal and Chelsea on Sunday, August 2 and also met with a lot of Super Eagles players.
He will however be returning to Nigeria with his assistant, Jean Francois Losciuto to prepare for the game against Tanzania.
“The match in Dar es Salaam is very, very crucial, not only because it will be my first match as Head Coach, but also because we have no choice other than to win," Oliseh official website.
"The three points are important for us to keep up the tempo in our group.
“We are on the same three points with Egypt, though they have scored a goal more. That is why we cannot afford any slip along the way. We will deal first with the match in Tanzania, and then we will start thinking about the CHAN qualifiers with Burkina Faso in October, and then the FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture in November.
"There is a lot of work. After these matches, we will now start working towards the two AFCON qualifying matches we have with the Pharaohs in March next year.”
