Manchester United target to remain at Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos will not be leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United and has been offered an improve contract by the La Liga club

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos have been told by the club that he will not leaving this summer.

The defender according to reports wanted a move to Manchester United following his contract dispute with Rreal Madrid.

Ramos signed a lucrative six-year deal with Real back in July 2011, but unlike team-mates Luka Modric, Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema, failed to secure a contract extension in the wake of last year's Decima triumph.

The defender has however been informed that the club will not allow him to elave.

According to Daily Mail, Ramos and his brother and agent Rene Ramos had a late night meeting with club's president Florentino Perez in Guangzhou, China.

Real have also offered him an improved contract that takes him closer to the £10million net deal he has been demanding for the last year.

It is now left for Ramos to whether to sign the new contract or see out the two years left on his contract and leave as a free agent in 2017.

Manchester United is expected to make a move for Valencia's Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi.
