He was pictured outside a private hospital in London on crutches later after having surgeries.

The Senegal international will now miss Liverpool's remaining six Premier League fixtures.

In his absence, Jurgen Klopp's side will play West Brom, Crystal Palace, Watford, Southampton, West Ham and Middlesbrough.
