Gervinho was at home in the Ivory Coast on Christmas day when burglars raided his Italian home in Axa, near Rome.
Thieves raid former Arsenal striker, Gervinho’s home on Christmas day
Gervinho was at home in the Ivory Coast celebrating Christmas with his family
The Roma striker may be the cause of his nemesis after he posted on social network that he was travelling to Cote D’Ivoire.
Tens of thousands of pounds worth of goods including jewellery and watches was reported stolen by the burglars.
Gervinho’s brother reported the crime to the Police.
The 27 year-old becomes the second Roma player whose homes were burgled on Christmas day; Belgium international, Radja Nainggolan returned to Roma from London to find the windows of his car broken while parked at the Fiumicino airport.
The Belgian angrily tweeted afterwards: ''Thanks Fiumicino airport for the nice Christmas gift!''
