Irish player spots Ivory Coast flag, mistaking it for Ireland’s

Keane spotted a pair of boots with a country's flag stitched to it, little known to him it was Ivory Coast's

Robbie Keane sealed a 2-1 win for LA Galaxy in Saturday’s MLS Cup final triumph over New England Revolution.

The 34 year-old Irishman wore a pair of boots with the country’s flag on it, in show of patriotism for his homeland.

A closer look on the boots which had ‘DADDY’ stitched over it, shows that the country’s colour was in reverse, which makes the flag of West African nation, Cote D'Ivoire: so he was infact dressed in Ivorian colours.

How the proud Irishman must feel to know that he actually flew the flag of another nation.
