Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka has added another league title to his name after his club Slavia Prague were confirmed champions of the Czech First League.
Prague have been confirmed champions of the Czech First League since Wednesday, June 25, 2020, after a 1-0 win at home against Viktoria Plzen.
After two weeks, Slavia Prague had the chance to lift the trophy on Wednesday, July 8 after they had played a goalless draw away at Slavia Praha.
The Nigerian made a cameo appearance in the game and was delighted after he lifted his second league title since he joined the Red and Whites in the summer of 2018.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me during the time I was out of the game, God bless you all,” he wrote on social media alongside photos of him with the trophy.
In the league, the 24-year-old scored four goals in 20 appearances to help Prague to the title.
His most memorable performance for Prague this season did not come in the league but in the Champions League where he scored and had an impressive outing against Inter at San Siro.
Olayinka also won the league title last season with Prague along with the Czech Cup. He also has league titles from his days in Cyprus in 2014 and Albania in 2015.
