After overcoming a series of flight delays before their first Group B game of Rio 2016 Olympic, Nigeria suffered another embarrassment before their opening game.

Before the game against Japan, a wrong national anthem was played at the stadium for Nigeria.

Instead of the Nigerian anthem, that of Niger Republic was played instead. Dream Team VI players were seen shaking their heads to the disappointment.

That didn’t stop Samson Siasia’s men from grabbing all three points beating Japan 5-4.

Sadiq Umar scored Nigeria’s first goal before Oghenekaro Etebo netted a quadruple to win the game for Nigeria.

The Dream Team VI will look to secure qualification with a win in their next game against Sweden on Sunday, August 7 while Japan play Colombia the same day.
