Barcelona forward named 'Best Brazilian Player in Europe'

The Barcelona forward has been handed the Samba Gold Award which recognises the best Brazilian player in European football


Barcelona superstar Neymar has been name the 'Best Player in European Football'.

The forward garnered over 150,000 votes worldwide as well as opinions from respected journalists and former players to scoope the Samba Gold Award which is put together by French organisation Sambafoot.

The 23-year-old defeated other compatriots like Miranda of Atletico Madrid and Felipe Melo of  Galatasaray after his fantastic 2014.

The Barcelona forward has netted 26 times for the Catalan based club in all competitions goals in all competitions.

Neymar just returned from his international duties with Brazil and was involved in their 1-0 win over Chile at the Emirates Stadium in London.
