Manchester United forward completes Fenerbahce move

After six years with Manchester United, Portuguese forward Nani has completed his move to Turkey side, Fenerbahce


Manchester United and Portuguese forward Nani has completed his £3.5million switch to Turkey side Fenerbahce.

The 28-year-old was greeted by a huge crowd in Istanbul as he arrived for his medicals.

Nani was finally announced as a Fenerbahce player on Monday, July 6 after completing his medicals .

The forward who spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon expressed his excitement at the move and says he is looking forward to the next phase in his career.

"I really am very happy to be here now,' Nani told the club official website.

"I see this as a new opportunity in my career. This is an opportunity for me to show myself. I want to be successful.

"I've seen all these fans coming out for me and I was really happy. I want to show them my best football. I always do the best that I can."

Nani joined Manchester United and leaves after sending 6 years with the club.

He won the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League with the Old Trafford club.

He was sent on loan to Sporting last summer as part of the deal to bring in defender Marco Rojo.

The Portuguese forward is looking forward to joining up with is international teammates Bruno Alves and Raul Meireles who play for Fenerbache.

"Fenerbahce are a club I have always known," he said.

"Fener is a club that aims high. With the national team I play with Bruno Alves and Raul Meireles and it is very nice for me to come here and feel like I have family. I hope I can quickly fit in."
