Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has commended his team's attitude to secure a fourth consecutive victory in the Premier League for the 2022/23 season.

The Gunners were 2-1 victors in their London derby against newly-promoted Fulham, having to come-back from a goal down at the Emirates Stadium.

Aleksander Mitrovic opened the scoring in the 56th minute but Martin Odegaard (64') and Gabriel Magalhaes (85') scored for Arteta's side to hand them the victory.

Arsenal's victory over Fulham follows three straight wins over Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Bournemouth with 11 goals scored and only three (3) conceded by the Arteta-led side.

With his side being the only one to boast a 100% record thus far in the Premier League, Arteta believes that their recent success is a result of more maturity on the part of his players.

The Arsenal manager said in his post-match press conference as reported by Football London: "We’ve grown up, we have more alternatives, I think we have matured as well.

"Playing in front of these supporters helps because they are driving you as well and then it’s about belief. A lot of that is about belief and confidence that you can do it and now we have that."

The Spanish tactician went on further to stress the importance of playing in front of their home crowd and forming a connection with them, saying that it is important for a club that wants to win to have a connection with its supporters.

I don’t know any top teams or winning teams that don’t have that connection with the club and with the supporters," Arteta explained.

"I just had a person who I love that I haven't seen for a while, it’s the first time he’s been at the stadium for two years and he says it’s the best he’s seen ever since he was at Highbury."

Arsenal have won both of their home games this season against Leicester City and Fulham. The Gunners will play their next match at the Emirates Stadium also, welcoming Aston Villa on Wednesday, August 31.
