Referees are not meant to be fans of any of the teams of the game they are officiating, but it seems that rule does not apply to English referee Mike Dean.

The referee seems to have celebrated a goal by Tottenham during their EPL clash with Aston Villa on Monday, November 2.

Fans on social media blasted the referee after he seems to have celebrated Mousa Dembele’s opener at White Hart Lane.

This is not the only time the referee has been accused of reacting to events on the pitch.

In January 2014 and a footage of him appearing to be disappointed at a failure of Swansea not to utilise an advantage he gave them during an FA Cup clash with Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

In a 2012 North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, footages also emerged of the referee celebrating Louis Saha’s goal for the Spurs.
