Neymar, Messi and Mbappe are ready for PSG vs Real Madrid

The trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr were in good spirits ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Neymar, Messi, and Mbappe are touted to be the most dangerous attacking trio in football with expectations to deliver the PSG its first Champions League title this season.

The French Ligue 1 giants take on Spanish La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid in a Champions League round of 16, second leg clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The stadium is one of the most iconic in Europe and the PSG trio will aim to make their mark in the away fixture.

Brazilian forward Neymar was chosen to speak to the press ahead of the clash.

Neymar stated that he is looking forward to the game as he has good memories of the stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference he said, "I have good memories [of the Bernabeu], I got goals and assists, played in amazing games and it's a stadium with an incredible history.

"To play here is a pleasure. A game between PSG and Real Madrid is always going to be 50/50, there's never a favourite.

"We have the advantage but the advantage we have we can keep in our heads, and we have to play better than in Paris."

Neymar's compatriot Casemiro will not be available for the second leg and he expects his impact to be felt by Real Madrid.

He said, "It won't be easy, Real Madrid have a lot of quality players.

"For me, Casemiro is the best in the world in his position, but we're not thinking about that; we have to win the game the same way, we have to play as well as we can.

"It will be a bit harder for them as they are used to playing with Casemiro, but for us it's better that he doesn't play."

Neymar and Messi both -played for Barcelona and he is relishing the chance to shine against Real Madrid.

He added, "For Messi and I, it's a special game because of our time at Barcelona.

"It will be special for Sergio [Ramos], too.

"Playing against Real Madrid in the Champions League is special for everyone."

PSG takes on Real Madrid seeking a favorable result despite a 1-0 advantage from the first leg.
