Questions persist for Brendan Rodgers as his Liverpool side were held by to a 1-1 at home to Norwich on Sunday, September 20.

Daniel Sturridge back in the starting 11 could not help Liverpool to get the three points.

Substitute Danny Ings scored his first Liverpool goal early in the second half but the home team were level just after the hour to share the points.

Norwich goalkeeper John Ruddy was his team’s best player as he saved several Liverpool goal attempts.

James Milner should have opened scoring in the first half after getting on a cross from the impressive left wing-back Alberto Moreno.

Milner's shot from 15 yards was however weak as Brady was able to block the ball quite comfortably.

Rodgers withdrew the unimpressive Christian Benteke at half time and threw in Ings his first home start and within three minutes the young centre forward had scored his first Liverpool goal.

Moreno stole the ball and played the striker to hold on and calmly finish.

Norwich got their equalizer as a result of some questionable goalkeeper from Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

He came to weakly punch a corner to Norwich captain  Russell Martin who controlled and lobbed it back into the Liverpool net.
