Club fans viciously attacked by hooligans in Austria

According to reports, 100 Frankfurt supporters, some wearing balaclavas, confronted a group of Leeds fans on the pitch following the German club's 2-1 win

 

Fans of English club Leeds United fans were attacked by Eintracht Frankfurt hooligans after a friendly game on Tuesday, July 21 in Austria.

According to local police,  supporters of Frankfurt started the fight which led to the injury of several persons.

According to reports, 100 Frankfurt supporters, some wearing balaclavas, confronted a group of Leeds fans on the pitch following the German club's 2-1 win.

Immediately the players left the pitch, a fight ensued between the rivals fans who exchanged kicks and punches.

Baton yielding Policemen stepped in to separate using dogs.

25 persons have been arrested according to reports and it is believed that 17 of those were Frankfurt fans.

Three Leeds supporters, two police officers and security staff required hospital treatment.
