Kelechi Iheanacho scored in the 84th minute against Stuttgart in a pre-season friendly at Mercedes Benz Arena
Nigerian youth international Kelechi Iheanacho continued with his fine form for Manchester City as he scored again in the 4-2 loss to Stuttgart.
Iheanacho scored for City against FC Roma and also played in a friendly against Real Madrid.
In the game against Stuttgart, Iheanacho came on at half time to replace Wilfried Bony and scored in the 84th minute of the match before Edin Dzeko added the second for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
Stuggart four goals in the first half-by Filip Kostic, Daniel Didavi and a brace from Daniel Ginczek- ensure that they finished the game 4-2 winners.
It seems we will be seeing more of the Iheanacho at Manchester City.
According to Complete Sports, a source close to the player has revealed that the 18-year-old will stay at Manchester City.
Pellegrini's men has already sent some youth stars-Jack Byrne, Seko Fofana, Angelino, Enes Unal and Olivier Ntcham- on loan but Iheanacho looks set to stay.
“The picture is now getting clearer, he (Kelechi) is looking more likely to stay at Manchester City,” the source, who works closely with Iheanacho is quoted to say by Complete Sports.
“He is involved in every session with the first team players and that has been encouraging for the player.”
