In Aguero's absence, Iheanacho is expected to fill in the void for Manchester City in the Premier League.
Aguero is serving a four-match-ban in the Premier League for his nasty tackle on defender David Luiz during the defeat by Chelsea.
In his absence, Iheanacho is expected to fill in the void like he did when Aguero was serving a three-match suspension earlier in the season.
The 20-year-old striker showed what he is capable of when he netted the equaliser for Manchester City in their 1-1 draw with Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday, December 6.
“Before we played Celtic [he said] that it’s up to me now to fill that gap, to carry the team along," Iheanacho said after the game.
“He’s telling me I should do very well and they are words of encouragement from him. So I’m going to do it.

“It’s a big opportunity for me now. Sergio’s not around so I have to take responsibility. I need to work really hard to prove myself to the team.
“I need to do extra to help the team to carry them along and to get the points that we need now.”
Iheanacho has three Premier League goals and two Champions League goals this season.
