Italian giants Juventus are set to complete the signing of Franco-Nigerian striking sensation George Ilenikhena from Ligue 2 side Amiens SC for an undisclosed fee.

The Bianconerri are keen to add the 15-year-old striker to their Academy set-up after he caught the eyes of Juventus spotters.

Juventus are said to be in pole position for Ilenikhena, fending off competition from French top-flight side AS Monaco for the signature of the striking sensation.

According to sports journalist Fabrice Hawkins as reported by getfootballnewsfrance, Juventus are already in negotiations with Amiens in a bid to wrap up the move for Ilenikhena.

Hawkins reports that Juventus and Amiens already have an agreement in principle for the transfer fee of the striker, with both clubs only waiting till August 16 when the player turns 16 years old before they can officially complete the deal.

Juventus and Amiens have a good transfer relationship following the €3m move of centre-back Felix Nzouango from Amiens to the Italian side in 2020.

Ilenikhena is expected to go straight into the Juventus Primera set-up of the Serie A side despite being a year less than the normal age for the feeder team.

George Ilenikhena is a left-footed 15-year-old striker (born on August 16, 2006) with the Amiens U17 side in the second division of the French league. The 6ft tall striker holds dual citizenship of both Nigeria and France. He was called up by the France U16 side in August 2021 but there are no records of him turning out for the side yet.

The Amiens SC forward scored an impressive 24 goals in 24 matches for his club's U17 side during the 2021/22 season.

Ilenikhena's excellent performances with the U17 side earned him an appearance with the Amiens U19 side in the Copa Gambardella, where he also scored a goal in his only appearance at the U19 level.
