Yobo a few weeks ago, signed an ambassadorial deal with the League Management Company (LMC) who are the organisers of the NPFL.

This deal will make him eligible to play for any interested club in the last games of the season.

The Ambassadorship was made official by FIFA president, Infantino at a dinner in Abuja on Monday night.

"Honored to be unveiled @LMCNPFL Ambassador by @FIFA President Gianni Infantino. We must develop our Local League," Yobo writes on Twitter along with some photos of him and the FIFA President.


Yobo has been signed by the LMC to help promote the NPFL.

The ex-defender will soon be assigned to a club under the NPFL Elite Players Scheme which Sani Kaita benefited from two seasons ago.

With the likes of  Akwa Utd, Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists bidding to sign the former Super Eagles defender,  Pulse Sports  learnt that FC Ifeanyi Ubah will be getting the former national team captain.

Yobo and billionaire business man, Ifeanyi Ubah who is the owner of the FC Ifeanyi Ubah are friends.

Ifeanyi Ubah was heavily involved in the planning of the testimonial of Yobo at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in May and his close associates have told PulseSports that the former Nigeria international will be joining his club.

Yobo has the record of the most caps for the Super Eagles and played at Marseille, Standard Liege, Everton, Fenerbache and Norwich City during his career.
