He also finished third in the Player of the season poll.

Speaking on the league win, the midfielder revealed that he wanted to achieve more with his club last season.

“I wanted to achieve more, I wanted to win the cup; we had like two cup games, the second we lost in the semi-final,” Ogu said.

“Winning the league is very important for me, the first of my career,” he added.

The midfielder joined Hapeol Be’er Sheva in September 2014 from Portuguese side, Academica and he revealed that he didn't have a good impression of Israel when he first came to the country.

“To be honest with when I first moved to Israel, I played with against an Israeli team with my Portuguese and I was like ‘what kind of country is this’,” the midfielder said.

“First time I got there, they have been showing me love.”
