Super Eagles midfielder Paul Onobi has hailed his senior colleague John Obi Mikel after replacing him in the starting 11 in the 2-0 win over Swaziland.

Sunday Oliseh shockingly left Mikel on the bench in Super Eagles 2-0 win over Swaziland and started Sunshine Stars’s midfielder in his place.

Onobi who played for 90 minutes in the second leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers has however hailed Mikel saying that the Chelsea midfielder is still the boss.

Onobi admitted though that he’s still a yard or two behind 64 caps Mikel Obi.

Onobi in an interview with Football Live also thanked Oliseh for the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles.
