Ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper joins Ikorodu United FC as trainer
Following their disastrous season so far, Ikorodu United FC have decided to bring in Shorunmu as their goalkeeper trainier.
The Oga Boys have also appointed Shakiru Giwa as their new assistant coach.
This is the fourth NPFL side, Shorunmu, 42 will be working in as a goalkeeper trainer following his stint with Enyimba and Heartland. His stay at FC Ifeanyi Ubah last less than a month.
FC Ikorodu United recently sacked head coach, Sam Okpodu, and replaced him with Dutchman, Theodorus Jacob de Jong.
This is the second time the club will be changing their coach this season. After a bad start to the season, Opkodu replaced Edema Benson who was demoted to the role of assistant coach.
De jong was first appoint as Technical Director of the club last month. The 68-year old de Jong has managed top Dutch sides like Willem 11, FC Zwolle, SC Cambuur and Go Ahead Eagles.
The changes have been made following their poor form this season in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
FC Ikorodu United have only managed three wins from 21 games in the NPFL this season. They have lost 12 games and drawn six.
