Guardiola confirmed that the Iheanacho’s move to Leicester City should be completed in 10 days.
Iheanacho has not been included in the Manchester City squad for a pre-season tour of the United States as he has stayed back in Manchester to sort out his future.
Speaking at a press conference in the United States, Guardiola confirmed that the Iheanacho’s move to Leicester City should be completed in 10 days.
“Kelechi is close to a move, it should be done in 10 days,” Guardiola told newsmen.
“It is an honour to work with him. It’s not easy for him as he didn’t get a lot of chances (in the team), but his behaviour was good.
“Kelechi’s a young player. He needs to play at that age and that’s why he, and the club decided, it was best for him (to leave).”
Leicester City are in Hog Kong where they have qualified for the Premier League’s Asia trophy following their 7-6 penalty shoot-out victory over West Brom on Thursday, July 20.
Iheanacho is expected to complete his move to the 2016 Premier League champions when they return to England.
According to Daily Mail, Iheanacho has agreed to personal terms with Leicester City but still has ‘minor issues’ to resolve.
