Early this month, the pair of Vincent Enyeama and Yaya Toure were top favourites for the 2014 BBC African Footballer of the Year Award, but the result proved otherwise that the two players were just contenders against the eventual winner, Yacine Brahimi, 24who was just seen in the blink of an eye as no competition.

CAF yesterday cut down the five man list for the 2015 African Footballer of the Year, excluding Nigerian playmaker, Ahmed Musa and Ghanaian CaptainAsamoah Gyan; not much of a surprise that is.

However one that seems to be re-occurring is the match-up in the final trio.

Though Aubameyang, 25 was initially nominated in the BBC list, he did not make the cut down, but he has this one and as the underdog finds its way to the top, he may just upset Vincent Enyeama, 32 and Yaya Toure, 31 again.

That is not an impossibility; both captains of their national teams, Enyeama and Toure are again paired up as top contenders but what if
