Favourite food of Super Eagles boss are Egusi, Pepper Soup

Since he was appointed the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Rohr who is a German has been spending most of his time in Nigeria.

The 63-year-old manager has now revealed that his favourite food is now Egusi and Pepper Soup.

“I love Nigerian food especially Egusi and Pepper Soup. It tastes nice and I can eat it every day,” Rohr said in an interview with .

Rohr spends much of his time in Lagos and seems to have settled in quite well.

In a February interview with the media officer of the Super Eagles, Toyin Ibitoye, Rohr revealed that he visited the popular Balogun Market in Lagos and he loved the experience.

“We went to Balogun market, it was wonderful and a big crowd and some people spoke about football. ‘You must beat Cameroon’ they kept telling me,” Rohr said in the interview on the official Youtube channel of the Super Eagles.

In a funny revelation, Rohr said he took photos which he will send to Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun because he shares the same name with the market.

“I took a photo because I will send it to Leon Balogun. His father comes from there, I think,” Rohr added.

“I had a beautiful day in Lagos. In this big city, very nice people, everybody is big on hospitality.”

“I spend some time in Lagos, I have seen not only the final of the Confederation Cup. I saw the Super Cup final in Abuja before coming back to Lagos.”

After his appointment, Rohr was given a three-bedroom apartment in Abuja by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
