A footballer in France has been suspended for five years after he bit his opponent’s penis during a post-game fight.

According to a local website in Lorraine, the incident happened just after a second division game between Terville and Soetrich in November 2019.

The incident happened in the stadium car park after the game when the victim, a Terville player, tried to break up a fight between his teammate and the perpetrator who played for Soetrich.

The victim needed about 10 stitches on his penis to treat the injuries from the bite.

The disciplinary committee called an expert witness before deciding to suspend the Soetrich player for five years.

The injured Terville player was suspended for six months for his role in the incident.

Although the game ended 1-1, Terville were punished with two penalty points and a fine of 200 euros for failing to meet their safety obligations as hosts and for the lack of reaction from club officials when the fight broke out.
