Enyimba Team bus damaged, players injured during attacks from Katsina United fans

It all started with Enyimba’s Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda punched a ball boy who was later rushed to the hospital.

The team bus of Enyimba was severely damaged while several players were injured during attacks from Katsina United fans.

In a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game played on Sunday, April 9, Katsina United beat Enyimba 2-1 at the Karkanda Stadium.

 

It all started with Enyimba’s Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda punching a ball boy who was later rushed to the hospital.

Dauda punched the ball boy after Katsina scored the winner seven minutes from.

After the game, the Enyimba goalkeeper was escorted out of the pitch but that couldn’t stop the home fans from attacking Dauda and the Enyimba team.

Enymba’s team bus was smashed during the attack while some of their players suffered some injuries.

The League Management Company (LMC) who are the organisers of the NPFL are yet to make any statement about the incident.
