Enyimba FC of Aba are on their way to way to win a massive N80m if they end up winning this season's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
NPFL leaders set for N80M win
Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko, says winners of this season's NPFL will earn N80m.
The Kadiri Ikhana led side are currently on top of the NPFL table with 48 points from 25 games.
Enyimba could end of with the N80m which organisers of the NPFL, the League Management Company (LMC), will be awarding to the winner of this season's league title.
Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko, disclosed this when he appeared as guest on Africa Independent Television (AIT) morning show.
"The club that wins the league this season will earn as much as N80m in revenue share, merit award, bonuses and kind and even the relegated club will earn a minimum of N55m," Dikko said.
“There are incentives for away wins, draws, attracting crowd to the games and we also provide official match balls to the teams including kit bags for the players.
"More importantly, we are seeking pool sponsorship for all 20 clubs so their finances will improve and consequently, the welfare of players as well as drive the commercialization of the clubs so as to make them attractive to investors.”
He further explained that all the 20 clubs in the league would earn various sums of money with the least being N55million that would go to the relegated clubs at the end of the season.
