Coach of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amapakabo is confident that his players can win the club’s first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 32 years.

With just eight games to go, Rangers are on top of the NPFL table with 48 points, just one above second place Wikki Tourist.

Rangers returned to the top of the table with a hard fought 1-1 away draw to Enyimba FC of Aba, at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday, July 31.

Godwin Aguda leveled for Rangers after they had gone behind to a Chukwude Stephen’s goal for the Champions.

With Tourist on their heels and Rivers United four points behind in third but with two games at hand,” Amapakabo still believes Rangers have what it takes to win the league title.

“Nobody gave us a chance to be where we are at the beginning of the season,” Amapakabo told SuperSport.

However, I have never been under pressure. Fans of Rangers International have waited 32 years.

“At this stage of the season, we are so close to our target and cannot say it cannot happen. We have a new hash-tag which is to believe. We believe we will win the title.

Rangers host MFM on Sunday, July 7 and would be looking to secure all three points.
