Real Madrid Nigerian defender joins Bolten

The Nigerian born defender has joined Bolton Wanderers after 13 years with Real Madrid

 

Real Madrid born defender, Derik Osede has joined English Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The 22-year  left the Bernabeu outfit after 13 years with the club but failed to make an appearance for the senior side .

Osede joined his new teammates on Sunday before the squad left for Austria for pre - season training, and practiced with the squad the following day for the first time.

The Spanish Youth international is born to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother.

"Playing for Nigeria -my father’s country- at senior level will be a great honour," the central defender has been quoted by the Spanish media to say in an interview.

Derik appeared with the Spanish under-19 team at the 2012 UEFA European Championship, helping to a final win in Estonia.
