Serbian midfielder Darko Brasanac has hailed Osasuna players after their gallant display against defending champions Real Madrid in their La Liga fixture this night.

Osasuna played a 1-1 draw with Carlo Ancelotti's men at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night as Real Madrid saw their seven-game winning run snapped by Osasuna.

Vinicius Junior scored Madrid's goal on the night but the Brazilian's effort was cancelled out by Kike Garcia's goal before Karim Benzema failed to convert a penalty to give Madrid the victory.

With four wins and just two losses in their first six games of the season, Osasuna came to the Santiago Bernabeu full of confidence they could nick at least a point in the match.

Osasuna midfielder Brasanac praised the determination of the team to grab a result against the perennial champions even after going a man down in the 78th minute.

Speaking in his post-match interview as posted on the official Twitter account of the club, Garcia stated that the team set a target to score against Ancelotti's men and they achieved this.

Brasanac said: "Very happy with the team's performance today. We played very well. We played with personality. We wanted to score, to keep the ball, and we did many things right this evening."

Real Madrid's draw with Osasuna is the first time they have failed to win a league match since May 20, a run spanning seven (7) matches with Atletico Madrid and Espanyol also amongst the teams they have feat
