Barcelona, Enyimba dominate Beach Soccer championship, whip Stationery Stores 6-4

Barcelona leading in the pole with 2 wins from 2 games, Enyimba second

Adorning the ever popular blue, red jerseys of the Barcelona, the beach soccer team of Catalan club, Barca continued its impressive display at the 2014 edition of the annual beach soccer tournament, Copa Lagos at the Eko Atlantic City.

Having trashed Pepsi Stars 7-4 on day one, the Spanish team whip resuscitating Stationery Stores of Lagos, 6-4 on Saturday to keep their record untainted as they go into the last day encounter on Sunday against Enyimba of Aba

Stores co-ordinator, Peter Rufai maintained confidence in his players despite the two loss which keeps them out of winning the championship.

“This is our first time out in beach soccer. Again, we had a short preparation.

“Even at that, the boys were able to scratch a respectable 4-6 result against Barcelona who are a full beach soccer team.’’

The Aba Elephants on Saturday beat the same stores team 1-0 on Friday to try staying close in points with Barcelona.
