Jose Mourinho rubbishes quadruple wins this season

Mourinho faults the media for quadruple claims

Jose Mourinho downplayed talks of Chelsea standing any chance of winning all four major title this season after his team beat Derby County 3-1 in a Capital One cup quarter final clash on Tuesday.

Earlier in the season, Chelsea had been touted as the next invincibles after they went 14 games unbeaten before Newcastle handed them a 2-1 defeat at St James’ Park on December 6.

"We don't speak about it. You [the media] spoke a few weeks ago about being unbeatable in the Premier League and we never did it.

"Now you speak about the quadruple. We have our feet on the ground."

Whether or not Chelsea will win all or any of the titles at stake remains a question to answer as they face PSG in January next year at the last 16 stage of the UEFA Champions League.

The Blues also face stiff competition to maintain top-spot in the EPL with Manchester City and United playing catch-up.

Moreso, the Capital One Cup remains open, much as the FA Cup
