Ex-internationals Drum Support For Ex-Green Eagles Cancer Patient

Peter Rufai, Temile and others visit cancer patient at the Lagos General Hospital

Ex-internationals, Peter Rufai, Clement Temile, Segun Oguns, Ikechukwu Enwezor and a former Super Falcons player, Shola Otis visited the Lagos Teaching hospital, Ikeja Lagos where retired Green Eagles and Stationeries Store player Yomi Peters is lying ill

Yomi Peters was diagnosed of Gastric tumor, a stomach cancer and since for two weeks has been hospitalised without aid and support from Lagos state which he served as player and coach in the seventies

According to Punch, the 74 year-old veteran has been unable to pay his bills since doctors began treatment on him and there were speculations that he would be kept back if he failed to cover his medical expenses

Rufai who praised Peters for his efforts said:

A member of the team, Segun Oguns lambasted the Lagos state government for neglecting Mr Peters whilst appreciating the efforts of the hospital

It is expected that the ex-international would help raise some funds for the ailing Yomi Peters.
