Schweinsteiger joined United after the 20-times English champions paid Bayern Munich £14m for his services.
The 30-year-old has been taking in the city of Manchester as he chose to dine at the Rosso Italian restaurant with two friends ahead of Man United opener against Tottenham
Rosso, owned by former Red Devils defender Rio Ferdinand, offers a range of fine cuisine charging up to £75 per course.
Schweinsteiger has been trying out different restaurants in the city as he visited San Carlo restaurant on Monday night with his tennis star girlfriend Ana Ivanovic.
The former Bayern Munich midfielder has been dating tennis star, Ana Ivanovic since September last year.
The German midfielder started from the bench as United defeated Tottenham by a lone goal.
He came on later during the second half.
