NFL club Dallas Cowboys, announced they have signed the 24 year-old to their practise squad

He will now join the 53 man roster squad in training but not will take part in official games

Jerry Jones, owner and president of Dallas Cowboys said: "The facts are that, if he's good enough to develop as a practice squad (player) and could evolve -- as many players do -- ... into a contributor, then that would be a plus for the Cowboys.

Jones added.

Michael Sam is the first NFL player to come out clean about his sexuality; he was a draft for St. Louis Rams.
