Anthony Nwakaeme has completed a move from Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva to Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The 29-year-old striker joins Trabzonspor from Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Be'er Sheva where he played for three complete seasons.
Nwakaeme was teammates with Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu at Hapoel Be'er Sheva as they failed to advance to the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League.
His presentation as a Trabzonspor player was done at the Atatürk Mansion which is one of the tourist centre in the city.
Present for Nwakaeme’s unveiling were Trabzonspor president Asbaşkan Hayrettin Hacısalihoğlu, General Secretary Ömer Sağıroğlu, and Press Writer Zeyyat Kafkas.
President Hayrettin Hacısalihoğlu was positive that Nwakaeme will add a lot to offer Trabzonspor.
He said, “We believe that As Atatürk's Mansion is the symbol of Trabzon, Anthony is also one of the symbols of Trabzon and will contribute to Trabzon. I wish it succeeds. I believe that the past is very bright and the successes in the past will repeat here. ”
Nwakaeme also stated that he aims to achieve so much which his new club side.
He said, "Trabzonspor thank you once again for giving me the chance to be here. I feel happy to be a part of this team here.
“I see that the team has the ambition to be successful, which makes me very motivated as an actor. And I am very happy to be here. "
He also stated that he is ready an available to play in any position required especially as a striker but can also play on the left wing.
He said, "Everything I saw was very good. The fans and the atmosphere were great, and I saw that they were very good people.
"Really everything is perfect. I can play as a striker, but I can play as a left-wing player of my own choice.”
Nwakaeme who missed out of the Super Eagles squad from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia is expected to make his debut for Trabzonspor when they take on Ankaragucu on Saturday, August 25.
