Arsenal star Alex Iwobi reveals he works with his dad after training to work on his finishing.
In the Premier League and Champions League last season, Iwobi scored just four goals in 33 appearances for Arsenal.
Aware of his poor return of goals, the 21-year-old has revealed that he works with his father to improve himself.
“In the position I am in, I need to get goals and create chances so normally after training or when I am at home, I go out on the field with my Dad and just practice my finishing. There’s always areas of my game that I need to work on,” Iwobi told Arsenal TV.
Iwobi who started last season brilliantly for Arsenal before he was dropped following his loss of form, wants to avoid that this season.
“I did a lot of off-season work, I was doing a lot of running, a lot of fitness work," he said.
“[I wanted to impress], especially as towards the end of last season I didn’t play as much as I would have liked. Preseason is a great way to get yourself ready, and I feel sharp, confident and ready to play games this year.
“I am happy with my form, but I still have a lot more to prove as it was only pre-season - I just have to carry it on now.”
Iwobi has made one appearance for Arsenal already this season and could play a part in their trip to Liverpool on Saturday, August 27.
