Iwobi kept his calm to score the winning penalty in the International Champions Cup (ICC) fixture as Arsenal beat Chelsea 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of 90 minutes.

The Gunners fell behind through a powerful header by Antonio Rudiger in the fifth minute when he headed in a Cesc Fabregas corner.

Alexandre Lacazette however equalised for Arsenal with the last kick of the game in normal time when he converted a cross by Reiss Nelson in the 93rd minute.

Alex Iwobi was not named among the starting eleven by new Arsenal manager .

Arsenal went into the break a goal down even though they created several chances and the more dominant side.

Iwobi was however introduced into the encounter in the 63rd minute when he replaced youngster .

He had a chance to score but fluffed his lines, he however went on to be the hero for the Gunners as he scored the winning penalty after Ruben Loftus-Cheek missed his spot kick.

Iwobi will hope to continue his goalscoring form when the Gunners host Lazio in their final pre-season game scheduled for Saturday, August 4.

Moses plays against Arsenal

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses was also in action for FA Cup winners Chelsea against Arsenal in the all Premier League affair.

The forward was also no among the starting eleven for the game but was introduced by Maurizio Sarri for Pedro Rodriguez in the 63rd minute.

The Super Eagles forward scored in the penalty shoot-out and will hope to get more minutes when they take on Premier League champions in the Community Shield scheduled for Sunday, August 5.
