NPFL club unveils new manager, Maikaba

Maikaba was appointed following the sacking of Maurice Cooreman after a poor finish last season.

Maikaba quit his role as coach of to sign a two-year-contract with the club and was unveiled on Wednesday, November 2.

The unveiling was done by club chief Paul Bassey in Akwa Ibom capital, Uyo.

Maikaba was appointed following the sacking of Maurice Cooreman after a poor finish last season.

Akwa United finished 14th in the NPFL last season and Maikaba has been appointed to improve their status next season.

The former assistant coach at Kano Pillars and Enyimba did a fantastic job with Wikki Tourist, leading them to a third place finish.
