Akwa United had a pretty impressive first stanza of the 2017 NPFL season, currently fifth on the table with eight wins.
The club unveiled five players, three strikers, one midfielder and one goalkeeper at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium in Uyo.
Edem Akakatang was signed from Akwa Starlets and will wear jersey No. 27 while the No. 25 shirt had been given to Gabriel Okechukwu who joined from FC Karpaty of Ukraine.
Harmony Ikande joined the Promise Keepers from Aris Limassol of Cyprus and had been given Jersey No. 19, midfielder Christopher Lolo, from Katsina United will wear jersey No. 32 while goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke signed from Sunshine Stars of Akure will wear jersey No. 30.
The five player have only been signed until the end of the season.
