Peter Edibi has been selected as one the 30 officials to officiate in the 30th African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea holding between January 17 to February 8.

Peter Edibi officiated the third place match at last year's FIFA World Club Championship
CAF in an invitation letter addressed to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF requested that the foremost referee report in Bata on January 7, one of the venues for the Nations Cup to take part in a fitness test scheduled for two days later.
The invitation stated that the NFF ensure Edibi ''arrives Bata in the best possible physical condition.’’
Edibi was one of the assistant referees in the third place match of the last FIFA World Club Championship in Morocco.
He also handled matches at the 2012 and 2013 African Cup of Nations and was billed to officiate the final but couldn’t since Nigeria played it.
