Ex Chelsea star, Demba Ba calls coach 'puppet'

Senegal coach, Alain Giresse released names of 28 players ahead of AFCON 2015, with Demba conspicuously missing

Besiktas of Turkey striker Demba Ba has described the his drop from the Teranga Lions'Afcon 2015 squad as incorrect and labelled the coach a 'puppet'

Speaking after the Chelsea hitman realised that Frenchman, Alain Giresse released a list of 28 players which will later be cut down to 23, without his name on it, the 29 year-old said.

“The list includes almost all the players involved in the qualifying campaign. I am not here to say if some of the players deserve or not to be there, but when I see some of the names chosen ahead of me, I do not agree.

“Looking at this list, it seems that we are not dealing with the coach of a national team but rather with a puppet. It is clear that he didn’t take some of the decisions.

“Following our defeat in Tunisia, he was in the changing room, with a dazed look, not knowing how to start his speech. I insist that we are not dealing with a coach but with a puppet.”

Senegal, 2002 African Nations Cup finalists begin their 2015 campaign against Ghana in January 19, with South Africa and Algeria lined up later.
