1992 African champions kick off camping on January 5 with friendly against Nigeria on the eleventh

Ivory Coast can now kick off preparations for the 30th African Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea after the government confirmed a budgetary allocation of 3.2bn CFA (N 1.2bn).

An initial proposal of 310 Million CFA was frowned upon by the football federation, which prompted the swift increase in the money as the 1992 champions continue pursuit for a second AFCON triumph.

"We have been informed by the highest authorities in the country that the budget we presented has been approved.

"Ivory Coast will be in Equatorial Guinea."

''The government's agreement resolves a dispute which had been highlighted on Tuesday by FIF vice-president Sory Diabate.

"We can't go to the CAN with 310 million CFA Francs. We have transmitted and justified our expenditure,’’ Ivory Coast Football Federation announced.

The same Ivory Coast executed the 2013 African Nations Cup with a budget of 3.9gn but were only given 2.7 after since they were knocked out in the quarter finals by Nigeria.

The open camp for Equatorial Guinea 2015 on January 5 in Abu Dhabi and will play Nigeria on the eleventh: they are in Group D alongside Mali, Cameroon and Guinea.
