That however didn't happen as they let an early lead slip to lose 1-2 to Equatorial Guinea.
Midfielder Ngozi Okobi put Nigeria ahead in the 12th minute, but the Falcons then conceded the equalizer with only four minutes left, off a free -kick.
Equatorial Guinea got the winning goal eight minutes from time after a goal-mouth scramble,
Equatorial Guinea will now play South Africa, while Cameroon face Cote d’Ivoire for the two tickets available to Africa for the Women’s Football Tournament of next year’s Olympics.
